The Bruce is what you get when you take something great from the past and pair it with something special from the present. The old in this case is the waxy distressed leather and the new is the modern bicycle toe style - and the combination of these two distinct elements gives this four-eyelet a singular look that both is classic and contemporary. By using a walnut colored material on the outer portion of the shoe, we are able to highlight the architectural nature of the seams and squarer toe of this 234-Last model, giving it a dressier profile than you'd expect from such a casual design. Still, because the natural edges of the split reverse welt and double leather sole are just calling out to be paired with the orange and white stitching in denim, this is a shoe that is begging to be worn out on the town with a dark pair of jeans. At once seasoned and fresh, its certainly hard to classify the Bruce, but definitely easy to love it.
